I'm so excited to be able to start sharing some of the beautiful weddings I've had the honor of photographing. They've been sitting in my computer, and it feels so good to get them out for all the world to see! First up is Jon & Ashley, who were married this past April at The Baronette Renaissance Detroit Hotel Novi. Not only was it a beautiful day full of sunshine and love, but what struck me the most about their day was the emotion that exuded from everyone around them. You could feel the love pouring, and I teared up myself throughout much of the day. Ashley & Jon filled their day with so many personal touches, both in the details, and through their experiences and what they wanted to incorporate. Here's a look at how their day began. Then keep scrolling to see the rest of their story unfold....
Jon & Ashley decided they wanted to do a first look, and it did not disappoint. Ashley actually took it a step further, and wanted to do a first look with the mothers, and then with her father as well. I'm not kidding you when I tell you my heart was just bursting through all of these. So much love. It was perfect! First off... the moms!
And now it's dads turn to see his girl. The connection between these two is so powerful to see.
The moment Jon's been waiting for. He gets to see his beautiful bride for the first time...
From here we headed out to two very personal, and sentimental locations. The first is Detroit Firehouse, Ladder 22, where Jon is a proud fireman. Following that, we drove a few blocks to Michigan Central Station, and took photos in the very spot Jon proposed to Ashley just the year before.
Heading back to The Baronette to go become Mr. & Mrs....
Ashley & Jon, looking through the moments of your day puts a smile on my face all over again. I will never forget the love & emotions that I witnessed! Thank you for allowing me to be a part of it! ~Lia
